Denise Huth developed The Walking Dead with Frank Darabont at Darkwoods Productions, where she served as vice president of production from 2004 to 2011, overseeing the company’s development slate. In 2007, she co-produced Darabont’s feature film The Mist, based on Stephen King’s novella, starring Thomas Jane and Marcia Gay Harden, and released by Dimension Films. Huth joined Darkwoods Productions in 1999 where she worked on the post-production, marketing, and release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ The Green Mile. She subsequently worked on the Warner Bros. film The Majestic, the NBC television pilot Raines, and the special-edition DVD releases of The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. Huth began her career at Scott Free Productions, the film and television company of Ridley and Tony Scott, where she worked on such films as Where the Money Is, White Squall, G.I. Jane, and Clay Pigeons. Huth hails from Denver, Colorado, earning her B.A. from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
