Robert Kirkman is the Chairman of Skybound Entertainment. Robert, an advocate for creator rights, co-founded Skybound alongside his longtime business and producing partner David Alpert to ensure creators could maintain their intellectual property rights and creative control. Kirkman continues to develop and produce multiple personal projects and has collaborations with an extensive list of creators in all divisions of Skybound, including comics, video games, film, television (traditional and digital platforms), and merchandising. First and foremost a comic creator himself, Kirkman has seen groundbreaking success in the adaptation of his comic book titles into major franchises in all forms of content. In 2010, his Eisner award winning series, The Walking Dead, was developed into an AMC television series. It has become a worldwide phenomenon as the highest-rated basic cable drama of all time and is the #1 show on television among the coveted 18-49 demo. The property has also been extended into numerous television spin-offs (Talking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead: World Beyond), video games (Telltale’s The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, and more), novels (The Walking Dead: Typhoon), and more. Kirkman’s additional comic book series include Invincible, Fire Power, Die!Die!Die!, Oblivion Song, Super Dinosaur, Battle Pope, Astounding Wolf Man, and Thief of Thieves. His TV credits include all adaptations of The Walking Dead and Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics for AMC, Invincible, in production for an animated series at Amazon, children’s series Super Dinosaur at Amazon, and Outcast at Cinemax. In the film space, Kirkman’s comic-book series Invincible and Oblivion Song are in development at Universal.
