This week, Vulture interviews Seth Rogen about Preacher's main trio, while Deadline reveals who is coming to the Preacher Comic-Con panel. Plus, the panel is scheduled for July 21. Read on for more:

• Vulture interviews Seth Rogen, who says Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga and Joseph Gilgun are "very funny together, so the idea that we could have the three of them playing off each other, we want to truly maximize it. You didn’t get it a lot the first season, and things get pretty dark throughout the rest of the second season."

• ComicBook.com reports that the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con International is scheduled for July 21.

• According to Deadline, the show's panel will feature Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Colletti, Graham McTavish, Garth Ennis and Seth Rogen.

• Ian Colletti, talking to IndieWire about Season 2, explains, "Eugene’s focus becomes more on him asking these questions of himself, questions that Jesse had to ask himself the first season: 'Can people change? Can you move beyond your past to forgiveness, redemption?'"

• The Ringer enthuses that, in Season 2, "Jesse has turned from soul-searching about his purpose in life to literal searching for the divine, resulting in a show that’s radically different ."

• TVGuide.com interviews Graham McTavish, who says the Saint of Killers is "somebody who had a family and that is what is motivating him through Season 2. [He] is trying to be reunited with those people in heaven."

• On Late Night With Seth Meyers, Ruth Negga says Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg "knew if they wanted to bring [Preacher] to the small screen properly they’d have to adapt it a bit. I don’t think you’d be able to do it frame to frame, it would never get past any censor."

• Metro enthuses, "Preacher seems to have loosened up and stepped on the gas – and we can’t wait to see what lies around the corner."

• Screen Rant notes that Preacher is a TV show with one of the highest body counts: "A particularly violent and gory show, Preacher has just returned to the small screen for a second season, and it’s likely that the body count is just going to continue to rise in this one."

• Drumming legend Johnny Vidacovich, who was featured on Preacher, tells Live for Live Music, "It’s was a blessing that Seth Rogan wrote a script where God likes jazz. It was a blessing that they had all this music that needed to be cut for the episodes and commercials."
