See Why Charlie Jumps Right Into Her New Life as a Spy
In the first two episodes of The Little Drummer Girl, Charlie Ross is swept off her feet into a high-stakes espionage operation.
In this behind-the-scenes look at the Series Premiere, Florence Pugh describes Charlie as, "loud and colorful and creative and desperate to have an interesting life." This desire pushes her to follow a mysterious, handsome stranger on a trip to the Acropolis and slip into a fast-paced world of intrigue and deception.
In a breakdown of Episode 2, the cast and creators go even further. When Kurtz offers Charlie the role of a spy, Pugh says, "We really see her make up her mind in half a second. It really wasn't a big decision for her."
Adds executive producer Stephen Cornwell: "Charlie is one of those people who tend to step through doors when they're ajar," making her an easy target for Kurtz.
Plus, Alexander Skarsgård talks about how interesting and rewarding it was to play a character who seamlessly jumps into different roles. Click here to see the cast and creators break down Episode 1 and Episode 2.
