Interview with the Vampire
Based on Anne Rice's iconic novel, AMC+'s hit horror series tells the story of Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), a queer Black man living in 1910s New Orleans. Following a romantic encounter with the charismatic vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), he too is made a blood-drinking immortal. Stylish and seductive, it really leans into the queer intrigue and desire present in Rice's source material. Season 2 is in production now so make sure to can catch up on Season 1 on AMC+ now.

TransGeneration
Directed by Jeremy Simmons, this seminal documentary series follows the lives of four trans college students during the 2004-2005 academic year. Because it premiered at a time when the trans experience was rarely explored in the mainstream, it proved to be influential as well as very moving. All My Children writer Megan McTavish later revealed that she introduced a trans character to the show, Zoe Luper, after watching TransGeneration. You can watch all eight episodes on AMC+.
This Is Going to Hurt
Ben Whishaw has just won a BAFTA award for his brilliant performance in this spiky comedy-drama series based on Adam Kay's best-selling memoir. He plays Kay, a recently qualified OBGYN who's struggling to juggle the demands of England's highly stretched National Health Service with his personal life. Although he's gay and dating Harry (Rory Fleck Byrne), Adam is totally closeted at work. You can binge the seven-episode series on AMC+.

Fingersmith
Based on Sarah Waters acclaimed novel, this three-part miniseries explores the covert nature of queer desire in Victorian London. Sally Hawkins plays Sue, an orphan-turned-grifter who accepts a job as lady's maid to wealthy Maud (Elaine Cassidy) with every intention of stealing her inheritance. However, the two women soon develop a romantic attraction to one another, something that was completely taboo at the time. You can watch it on AMC+.
Queer for Fear
Executive produced by Bryan Fuller, this fascinating documentary series delves into LGBTQ+ representation and queer coding in the horror genre. Themes explored include the "predatory female" trope that has often been applied to lesbian characters, the way 1980s vampire movies were influenced by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and the classic 1930s horror flicks made by gay director James Whale. You can watch all four episodes on AMC+.

Orphan Black
All five seasons of BBC America’s groundbreaking drama series are now streaming exclusively on AMC+. Tatiana Maslany won an Emmy for her riveting performance as Sarah Manning – and other characters, some queer –  who discover they're genetically identical clones created as part of an illegal scientific experiment. The show's LGBTQ+ representation is so authentic across-the-board that it received three nominations for Outstanding Drama Series at the GLAAD Media Awards. Dive into Orphan Black now on AMC+.
