With Niles no longer working for the McCullough's, Standard Oil wastes no time capitalizing on the soured relationship.
Eli has shown Niles that there's no allegiance between the two of them. So, when Niles is asked to work for Standard Oil, and put a stop to the McCullough's profiting off of stolen oil, Niles happily takes on the new role.
