In the Mid-Season Premiere, Sunny must reckon with his decision to give Pilgrim his Gift.

"Sunny is very troubled by what he sees Pilgrim doing," says Executive Producer Al Gough. "Sunny didn't listen to Bajie, and now it's all going to hell," he adds.

When Sunny tries to destroy the Meridian Chamber, Pilgrim takes it as an act of war. "It's strange for Sunny to deal with Pilgrim," says Daniel Wu, "because they do have a past, they do have a history, they were like brothers."
