"It's oddly prescient... a response to the slow burn that's been happening for a long time,"  says Joy Nash, who plays Plum.

Through Plum's ups and down, the show tackles larger issues of sexual violence, the beauty industry and more.

"This show challenges the audience to look at those things in a really interesting way," says Tamara Tunie (Julia).
