Full details about the third season are still to come, but executive producer and showrunner Sam Catlin offered some teases following Season 2's cliff-hanger finale, particularly as it relates to the status of Jesse and Cassidy's friendship in the wake of Tulip's death. "If Season 2 asked, 'Can this group of friends stick together and be on this quest?' then the answer is, 'No. They can’t,'" he says. "What's going to happen now that all that rage and bitterness is out in the open? The band’s breaking up in a really dangerous way."
Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, Preacher is an absurdly twisted and action-packed thrill ride that stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, a small-town preacher who is inhabited by an angel-demon spawn that gives him the power to command people to do his bidding with a single word. When Jesse discovers God is absent from Heaven, he sets out to find Him with Tulip (Ruth Negga), Jesse’s volatile true love, and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a 119-year-old Irish vampire who is Jesse’s best mate. The series also stars Graham McTavish as the Saint of Killers, Pip Torrens as Herr Starr and Ian Colletti as Eugene "Arseface" Root.
