Better Call Saul Earns Eight Emmy Nominations for Its Final Episodes
The nominations for the 75th Annual Emmy Awards were announced Wednesday, and Better Call Saul continued its perfect streak, earning its seventh consecutive nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for the show's final episodes. The series also received seven other nominations, including recognition in the acting categories, with both Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn being nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, respectively.
Additionally, Better Call Saul will also compete for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (Peter Gould, "Saul Gone" and Gordon Smith, “Point and Shoot”), Outstanding Picture Editing (Skip MacDonald, "Saul Gone"), and Outstanding Sound Mixing (Larry Benjamin, Kevin Valentine and Phillip W. Palmer “Saul Gone”) and Outstanding Music Supervision (“Black and Blue”).
The series final nomination came in the Outstanding Shortform Comedy, Drama or Variety Series category, as Better Call Saul Filmmaker Training, the final installment in the two-time Emmy Winning Better Caul Saul Employee Training series, was recognized.
The 75th Annual Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, September 18.
